Yoga Facilitator
Monica Moore – Yoga4Cancer Teacher
I’m Monica Moore. Along with my deep love for yoga and its sacred wisdom, I’m an experienced mentor, a certified Yoga4Cancer – Oncology Yoga teacher, and a cancer survivor. I began practising yoga in the 1990s, and it has remained a steady source of strength, healing, and connection throughout my life.
In 2017, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer and underwent full axillary clearance surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. That experience brought not only physical challenges but also deep existential questions — the kind many of us face when life suddenly shifts. It invited me to pause, reflect, and reconnect inward. I have fully recovered and am now enjoying life with greater presence, purpose, and gratitude
I offer an authentic, compassionate, heart-centered, and evidence-informed approach to yoga designed to meet the unique needs of the Think Pink community — both those currently undergoing treatment and those post-treatment.
After my cancer experience, I made the life-changing decision to become the spiritual, heart-centered teacher I had been searching for. A couple of years later, I left my senior managerial role in Higher Education to focus solely on Yoga — in particular, offering Yoga4Cancer.
If you notice a faint accent, it’s because my roots are Swedish; I arrived in Australia in 1994. These days, you’ll often find me walking in the bush with my two dogs, practising yoga and meditation, and enjoying a predominantly plant-based diet. I’ve taught over 1,200 classes — many of them Oncology Yoga.
I live in Geelong, and you can find out more about me here: https://yoga-4-living.com/
