Navigating Work and Breast Cancer
With Sue Woodall, Founder & CEO of LiveWorkCancer
Returning to work, staying at work or even deciding what work looks like after a breast cancer diagnosis can bring challenges that aren’t always talked about.
Join Sue Woodall, Founder and CEO of LiveWorkCancer, for a practical and supportive conversation about navigating work during and after breast cancer.
Drawing on both lived experience and her work supporting people affected by cancer, Sue will explore why work can matter beyond income, including its connection to identity, routine, confidence and social connection.
The session will cover:
- The impact breast cancer and its treatment can have on working life
- Common challenges including fatigue, brain fog, changes in confidence and managing ongoing treatment
- What meaningful workplace support can look like
- Communicating your needs and having conversations with your employer
- Practical strategies for navigating work during treatment, returning to work or adjusting your role
- Knowing when your needs or priorities around work may have changed
- An introduction to LiveWorkCancer and the support and resources available
Whether you are currently working, on leave, preparing to return to work or considering what comes next, this session will provide practical information and strategies to help you navigate work in a way that feels right for you.
About Sue
