Cancer Hub - Parenting with breast cancer
14/05/2026
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This week via Zoom, we will be joined by guest speaker Mona Hazel.
Mona is a senior clinician with Cancer Hub, specialising in supporting families navigating a cancer diagnosis. She has extensive experience working with parents who are undergoing treatment and helping them communicate with their children in age appropriate, honest and emotionally safe ways. Mona is passionate about equipping families with practical tools to reduce anxiety, maintain connection and strengthen resilience during what can feel like an overwhelming time. Through her work at Cancer Hub, she provides tailored guidance to ensure children and parents feel supported, informed and understood throughout the cancer journey.
Cancer Hub is a one stop shop where families impacted by cancer can easily access the practical and emotional support services they need, when they need.
Cancer doesn’t only affect the person diagnosed, it also affects every member of the family. Although there is a lot of community-based support available to families, it can sometimes be confusing or time-consuming for families to find out what types of support are available to them. This is where Cancer Hub steps in – with one phone call, we can connect families to what they need.
